Jon Atherton Wobble Marketing

Apr-17-2011

Wobble iBoobs has been cruising along very nicely for over two years now, with well over a million installs and income of more than $500,000 in that time.

We’ve been working on some other projects but have now decided to bring Wobble up to date, with a big list of improvements.

Last year we launched 3D and the HD versions which saw a large number of downloads and updates, for our next trick we’re adding all the features which users have ever suggested :-) plus some innovative new ideas and control functions that are pretty entertaining.

It’s also time for a revamp, we’ve engaged IconFactory to give Wobble a bit of a tart up, and I think you’ll like what we have in store!

So stay tuned :-)

iPad 2

Apr-17-2011

Returned home to find my shiny new iPad 2 waiting for me. So far a few things to note:
1. quite a bit faster than iPad, rendering of pages is instant and scrolling doesn’t seem to cause breaks in rendering.
2. glass is somehow more slippery, feels better
3. same weight, but a bit thinner
4. home button doesn’t click as loudly which is good

Prove My Address – You Prove Yours!

Jul-8-2010

Don’t you hate it when Stupid Companies ask for a faxed* copy of your ID to prove where you live?!

Here’s the deal – I order something online using a Visa card, I want it delivered to our house. The “Stupid Company” asks:

We have asked that you send us verification of the address details – a copy of an official letter showing the credit card address (eg.  Credit Card Statement showing the cards billing address, a rates notice showing the address or a letter from a government department etc.)”

I mean really – wtf?! This particular company sells software, so presumably they have heard of Photoshop…

IF I AM GOING TO COMMIT FRAUD, I’LL USE PHOTOSHOP!

QED: they are only pissing off their honest customers.

<..end rant>

*Faxes were last used in the late 1900′s and are such low resolution that I could use sticky tape to fraud a mailing address!

Family Photographer in Canberra

Jul-8-2010

A good friend of mine has just launched herTrish Smith Photography Canberra Family Portraits.jpg website, although she’s been in the business of photographing families in the canberra area for some time, she’s only just got her business online :-)

Be sure to make her business welcome to the internets – go here:  http://www.trishsmithphotography.com/

She says this:

Anytime is a good time for a portrait session, but pick your favourite time of the year for the pictures that will have you thinking about some of the reasons you love to live here.

For your photoshoot, choose a place that is special to you and your family, and I will meet you there with my camera.

So if you are in the ACT and not completely frozen solid give her a shout for some nice pics of you and the kids!

ePaper Watch

Mar-17-2010

An e-paper design that shows the time in two

different ways in one watch; digitally and with lines.

The wrist band is made of a thin sheet of stainless steel that wraps around your wrist like a bracelet, the e-paper is positioned beneath this band to form the time and information display.

The watch vibrates to give message, mail and call notifications from your cell phone and these will appear on the screen via Bluetooth wireless technology. With this design, the buttons are positioned at the top of the band.

James Bond posters have become one of the most popular items of film memorabilia. Launched to advertise Dr No in 1962, the posters have continued to become extremely popular and successful.

With some of the rarest original posters reaching thousands of pounds, the world of James Bond posters forever continues to astound, aspire and entertain.

The James Bond movie posters have always captured elements that have made the films so successful. Often featuring scantily clad seductive women, exotic locations and devious villains.

The Secret Origin of Windows

Mar-11-2010

Interesting read.

The Secret Origin of Windows A quarter century ago, Windows wasn’t everywhere. In fact, some were doubtful it would ever ship at all. And Tandy Trower was there.
